Is the aluminum starch octylsuccinate in iS Clinical products harmful because it contains aluminum?

The aluminum starch octylsuccinate used in iS Clinical products contains no free aluminum. It is non-toxic and is a starch compound used as a rheology agent (also known as a viscosity regulator or thickener). Free aluminum can be toxic in some substances but there are no free aluminum ions in this ingredient, as the aluminum is bound to the remainder of the molecule. Furthermore, the total amount of aluminum found within this product is very small and, in fact, is less than that found in other household products or foods.
