How much sunscreen should I apply?

Most people apply inadequate amounts of sunscreen for proper solar protection – sunscreen should be applied to all body areas not covered by clothing. About one (1) ounce is the right amount to use for the entire body, and approximately one (1) teaspoon will adequately cover the head and neck. If engaging in outdoor activities, such as sports, swimming, sunbathing, or any time spent near water and or perspiring, reapplication should occur every 40 minutes.
