Are iS Clinical products hypoallergenic?

The term “hypoallergenic” means “less than allergenic” or “slightly allergenic” and, at present, has no medical definition. In fact, the cosmetic industry has been trying for years to block an industry standard for definition of the term. In 1975, the United States FDA (Food and Drug Administration) attempted to regulate and define the term ‘hypoallergenic” but the proposal was challenged by the cosmetic companies Clinique and Almay in the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, which ruled that the regulation was invalid. Thus, cosmetic companies are not required to meet any regulations nor do any specific testing to validate this type of advertising. iS Clinical products contain no unnecessary perfumes, chemicals, or ingredients. Every ingredient used in our formulations is included to perform a specific function. Patch testing is always recommended to address individual concerns. Severely sensitive or allergic individuals should consult with their physician prior to using a product.
